APRIL 28, 2024 - - - Sammy Mars and the #28 team had plans of competing at both Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin and Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin over the April 26-27 weekend. On Friday night, the conclusion of the ‘Mahder 55’ program from 2023 was scheduled to take place at the Dunn County fairgrounds oval. However, the $5,555 to win feature was once again nixed due to inclement weather.
At Cedar Lake on Saturday evening, a $1,500 winner’s check was up for grabs in a weekly Late Model show. Sammy advanced four spots in his heat race to finish third and later started the 25-lap main event from the outside of the third row.
